| 10 Easy
Steps to Fundraising with Florida Farm Bureau |
| |
| |
- Meet with your organization members to discuss plans
and SET A GOAL!
Also set your sales and delivery dates.
- Call us at 1.800.654.0941 for promotional material,
posters, order forms, product samples, etc.
These materials are provided at no charge to
help promote your sale. We would also like to
know your sale and delivery dates and the variety of
products you plan on selling so we can properly prepare
in advance for your sale.
- Determine your selling price. Most organizations
add $5.00 - $7.00 each on the large cartons of citrus
and $3.00 - $5.00 on the small cartons. The
nut products and beef jerky have suggested retail
prices on our price sheet, but the decision is yours!
You determine your own selling price and PROFITS!
- Publicize your sale through all forms of media in
your community i.e. newspaper, radio, posters, etc.
Have your sales team promote sales to area
businesses, schools and other organizations.
- After you have completed your sales campaign, total
all of the orders and place your order at 1.800.654.0941.
Citrus and nut orders should be placed at least ten
working days before your expected arrival date.
Beef Jerky products should be ordered 12 - 14 working
days before expected arrival.
- For your shipping convenience please consider
the following:
- Large cartons
of citrus (4/5 bushel) are stacked 54 cartons
per pallet.
(9 cartons per layer, 6 layers high)
- Small cartons
of citrus (2/5 bushel) are stacked 90 cartons
per pallet.
(9 cartons per layer, 10 layers high)
- Full bushel
apples are stacked 42 cartons per pallet.
(7 cartons per layer, 6 layers high)
- After we receive your order, we will fax you a confirmation of the order. All products are shipped together on the same refrigerated truck right to your door. We also load orders by drop; ONLY UNLOAD YOUR LABELED ORDER.
REMEMBER TO HAVE PLENTY OF HELP AVAILABLE TO UNLOAD YOUR ORDER.
THE TRUCK DRIVER DOES NOT LOAD OR UNLOAD FOR YOU.
Then in the unlikely event your order has an overage,
shortage or damage adjustments must be noted on the
trucker's papers upon arrival in order to receive
compensation from the carrier. Our office must
be notified immediately or we will assume your
order has arrived in good condition. Any spoilage
is to be reported to our office within 72 hours
of delivery.
- Deliver or have your customers pick up their order.
Remind all customers that citrus fruit is a
perishable product and the fruit must be stored in
a cold environment, preferably refrigeration, and
be used promptly for best flavor and quality.
- Do not pay the truck driver. We will mail
your organization an invoice. Payment is due
at the time you receive your invoice.
- Save your list for next year!
- Congratulate yourselves on a job well done!
You deserve the best...
